She is responsible for the academic and college guidance for all students. She also manages the school’s dual credit program. Tamara earned her MA from the University of New Mexico in Counseling. Before joining EM in 2019, she was a School Counselor at NM Connections Academy, Rio Rancho HS, and Hogares/APS Mental Health in the Schools. Tamara is also a Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor and has worked at The Life Change Institute since 2013.
Tamara has a daughter who lives in Scottsdale, a son who graduated from EM and is attending Montana State University, a son in 10th grade, and a son in 8th grade. She has lived in the East Mountains for 20 years and has also lived in Alaska, Maryland, Illinois, Texas, and Kenya. Her interests include spending time with family and friends over leisurely meals, going to her kids’ sporting events, working out, playing board games, and traveling (or watching Rick Steves and dreaming of traveling).
