Dr. Sanchez-Dinwiddie earned her BS in Biology at New Mexico State University. At NMSU, she studied the symbiotic relationship between squid and bacteria. She was fascinated to be studying a marine ecosystem in the desert landscape of Las Cruces, NM. Following NMSU, she attended the UNM Health Sciences Center for graduate school, where she earned a PhD in Biomedical Sciences. There, Dr. Sanchez studied the murine (mouse) pulmonary immune response to a fungal infection. Upon graduation, she entered education and has spent the previous 17 years at the UNM-Valencia Campus. Dr. Sanchez is passionate about learning and thinking and is thrilled to be at EM! Outside of school, she enjoys supporting her children, Rilee, Jenna.
