Carmen holds a BA in English Literature from Oregon State University and an MA in English Language and Literature with a Certificate in Women’s Studies from the University of New Mexico. Carmen taught college composition courses at UNM and CNM before joining the faculty at EM. Her interests include anything Victorian, poetry, reading as many books as possible while drinking delicious tea, fiction writing, cross-stitching, and hiking. She loves reading and discussing books with young people as well as helping students develop their creative writing craft.
