Adam James Jones

Humanities Instructor

Adam was born in Denver and raised in South Park, Colorado. He received a BA from the University of Northern Colorado and an MA from Western New Mexico University. He is the author of the novels The Vendetta of Felipe Espinosa (2014 Gale-Cengage) and Prisoner’s Cinema (2021 Black Rose Writing). His short fiction and essays have appeared in numerous publications, among them Wild West, Weber, and Backpacker Magazine. Adam is also a screenwriter, and in spring 2019, production wrapped on his horror film Hatchlings. In 2023, he was awarded the George R.R. Martin Screenwriting Grant for his television pilot, American Witch. He’s thrilled to join the Humanities department at EM after nine years of teaching at the elementary and middle school levels.
