Ryah earned her Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts from the University of New Mexico and her Master of Arts in Art Education from The Art of Education University. She brings 13 years of teaching experience to East Mountain High School, including 11 years as an art teacher. She is excited to join the East Mountain team and inspire creativity in high school students, including some she first met while teaching elementary art.
Ryah is the proud mom of two daughters, both EMHS graduates. She is a New Mexico native and has lived in the East Mountains for the past 17 years. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, camping, gardening with native plants, traveling, and catching Lobo basketball games at The Pit. As an artist, she loves painting landscapes, taking way too many photos along the trail, and drawing inspiration from nature.
