Lottery Dates and Application
The East Mountain Middle and High School Lottery will be open from Thursday, October 1 through Friday, November 13 at 4PM. East Mountain will accept applications for Grades 6, 7, 9, 10, 11 and 12 for the 2027-2028 school year. (An 8th Grade class will not be offered next year.)
The Lottery Drawing will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2026, at 5PM. Applications received after the Lottery closes will be placed on the Waiting List in the order they are received. The Lottery Application will be available on https://eastmountain.org/enroll/. Please share this info with your friends and family!
Anticipated Enrollment
East Mountain expects to enroll 100 students in 6th Grade and 110 students in 9th Grade. All other grade levels are currently at maximum capacity, so students will be placed on a Waiting List established at the Lottery Drawing. Families will be contacted if an opening in Grades 7, 10, 11 or 12 becomes available.
Sibling Status Information
At East Mountain, a sibling is defined as a student who shares at least one biological parent or legal guardian and lives at least 50% of the time in the same household as a current East Mountain student.
- Siblings of currently attending East Mountain students receive preference in the admissions process, but they MUST submit a Lottery Application by the November 13 deadline. A sibling forfeits the enrollment preference if the November 13 deadline is missed, and that sibling will be placed at the bottom of the Waiting List established at the Lottery Drawing.
- If a 6th Grade or 9th Grade Lottery Application is submitted by the deadline, then the sibling does not have to go through the actual drawing of names. They are automatically accepted.
- Transfer students who are siblings and applying for Grades 7, 10, 11 or 12 will be drawn first with their grade-appropriate sibling group. Non-sibling transfer students will be drawn afterwards.
